Celebrating Five Years of Impact: A Message from Our Executive Director

I am thrilled and grateful to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the P. C. Lee OneSky Global Centre for Early Childhood Development in Hong Kong! This remarkable accomplishment, conceived by our founder, Jenny Bowen, is centered on love and learning. Jenny dreamed of a nurturing place where children could receive a better start in life, and where caregivers, parents, and partner NGOs could unite to discover effective ways to educate and support young minds and bodies.

Our Centre stands as a beacon for sharing innovative ideas on early brain development, responsive care methods, and essential community services. The Lee family’s unwavering support through their generous donations has enabled us to invest in the future of children in Hong Kong.

Dedicated steering and campaign committees, committed board members, partner NGOs, and generous donors have all played a key role in turning our Centre into a hub of activity and nurturing care. Together, we have cultivated a safe, inspirational learning environment for families in Sham Shui Po. Watching these children explore and thrive in this beautiful space— free from the constraints of cramped homes — is a joyful experience.

In 2023, we proudly launched the Community Living Room in the Centre, a versatile area designed to serve caregivers, young children, and the elderly within our community. Instead of creating a conventional “service centre,” we have developed a warm, family-like environment focused on supporting underprivileged families with children (from birth to six years old) to provide them with a supportive community network and help children reach their full potential.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our OneSky team and the community for your dedication and support. Together, we have created cherished memories and opportunities for young children and families to flourish. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible!

As we look ahead, we remain hopeful and committed to our goals. Our work is an investment in children, parents, and high-quality childcare. A better start for our children translates to a brighter future for all our communities.
